What's that? A newcomer's guide to Miracle Bonus

Club Elections and Service Opportunities:

Miracle Bonus elects officers each April. Also, each spring our new president(s) select the chairmoms and committee members to help serve the club. If you are interested in taking an active role with the club, please take a look at the list of available positions and send it to Jennifer Larson.

Clothing Sale:

Miracle Bonus joins with other area clubs to host a semi-annual clothing sale. The sale is typically held in March and September. Only members may sell, but the sale is open to all for shopping. It's a great opportunity to stock up on multiple items, too!

Holiday Auction:

Each year our club hosts a holiday auction and soup buffet. The evening typically features raffle items, silent auctions and dollar auctions of top-notch items, such as massages, restaurant gift certificates, a Williams Sonoma package, a one-hour session with a personal trainer, camping and outdoor recreation gear, oil changes and much more. It's held in October or November, and is a great chance to jump-start your holiday shopping. It's also a lovely evening out with your hubby, friends or extended family (sorry, no children allowed!).

Mother of the Year:

Each year, our club chooses a "Mother of the Year (MOY)." Club members vote for eligible members at the December dinner. Our February gathering is where we fete the new MOY in an evening planned just for her. To be eligible, a member must be a dues paid member, attend a minimum of eight (8) functions (monthly meetings, board meetings, social parties, etc.), and/or serve as an officer, chairmom, or committee member of Miracle Bonus. The event is planned by the previous three MOYs. Immediate past-MOYs include: Jen Larson, Heather Schultz and Monica Bundy! Voting for the 2010 MOY will take place at the December Christmas dinner! Be there and vote, as a lot of times it is a very close call and your vote counts!

Club Participation:

There are many ways for you to be involved in Miracle Bonus. Elections are held each April, and the new president selects people to fill the many positions needed to keep the club active. Here is a list of offices available.

Children/Family Activities:

Our club sponsors several events for children each year, including an Easter party, a fall harvest party, and a holiday party in December. Also, each year we have a family picnic for our August meeting. Held at a local park, it's an opportunity for our families to meet and interact. Frequently, other outings are planned throughout the year.

Camperships:

If your multiples are age 3 as of 1/1/09, school age up to grade 12 and you Are a due paid member of Miracle Bonus MOM’S, you are eligible for our campership award. This award is up to $50.00 per multiple to help defray the cost of a camp your multiples would like to attend. A drawing will be held at the March meeting; fill out the form and bring it to the meeting.

Summer Play Dates:

When the weather warms up, we begin our weekly play dates in the park. All play dates start around 10 a.m. and last for a couple hours...or for as long as you want. Bring a lunch, blanket, sunscreen and the shades! The are great times for the parents, as well as the kids.

Adult socials:

We try to plan annual, if not more frequent, adult socials. These are times for you and your significant other to leave the kids at home and socialize with other adults! Our last one took place at Arbor Crest Winery. We've also played paint ball and had comedy nights.

NWAMOTC Convention:

Yes! There are special events for just moms! The annual convention, held in April, is a great opportunity for a weekend get-away with other MOMs! It's well worth the time away to rejuvenate for the year ahead.

NWAMOTC Fall Meeting:

Not as "big" as the annual convention, NWAMOTC's fall meeting is another weekend-away opportunity. Count it as your chance to also get in a little shopping for Christmas without the kids! It's held in late September or early October.
